Officially made it to week 8!! Thanks for coming back!

Social Skills

I thought over the last year due to corona that I have lost most of my social skills, but I learned throughout this week that it’s not true! (yay!). This week I went into my office twice, had 2 days off, went to a wedding, and enjoyed a long holiday weekend. This was a crazy crazy week and I have to admit it was very difficult to follow my routine.

There were many days this week where I didnt get home until later than usual and there was a zero percent chance I could wake up by 7:20. I mentioned that we went to a wedding, yes a real in-person wedding with close to 250 people!! It was unbelievably exciting to be around people, celebrate, dance, sing, and just have fun. (Don’t worry each person was checked if they were vaccinated in order to enter). Now we didn’t get home until 4am, so I was not waking up 3 hours later.

Holiday Weekend!!

I’m not sure if I can call this a holiday weekend or week…We had a day off for elections and I took an extra day off after the wedding, AND we are off on Monday due to Passover. I did a lot of sleeping over this past week and I really felt that my body needed it, so guess what I turned off my alarm and slept.

I already feel that this will help me to get even more focused in my routine in the coming weeks. I rested, like seriously rested. Spent many of the days at home on the couch, watching TV because I needed it. A big part of this journey for me is doing things for ME and putting my needs first, so when i need rest and sleep I’m going to do it.

Burnout, Burnout

Last week, I started reading Burnout. I finished a chapter about sleep and how important it is to give your body the rest that it needs. They mentioned in the book to sleep between 7 to 9 hours a day, and rest for a total of 10 hours. I feel like this chapter came at the perfect time when I really needed it, and I do feel way more alive now, and ready to jump back in.

Workouts

This week I started a workout program with Mallory — she calls it Everyday Wellness. This is the 2nd time I’ve done this with her and I really enjoy getting the all around wellness of working out, mentally, and food! Mallory does awesome workouts where I really feel connected to them and I don’t want to stop them halfway through.

Mallory was a huge person in allowing me to begin my wellness journey and I love being able to support people who are trying to create something of their own. Shoutout to mallory @malloryhopes.

Recap

Even though this was a really crazy busy week, I don’t have too much to say :) I really enjoyed being social again, I finally feel like life is coming back to normal again and I can’t wait to see what happens (only good things i hope)

Hope to see you all next week!!
